Second Blog Sunday, June 10, 2012

I wish I would have added the back light keyboard to the new laptop.  Blah.

It has been a wonderful week this past week.  First Baptist Church had their Vacation Bible School and Isaac and Patrick both attend.  They had a blast!  They loved it and so did I.  I took pictures of the PreK4 & 5 classes as well as the kindergarten classes.  I took some really great photos.  Not only do I enjoy taking photos of my own kids, I enjoy making memories for others and sharing their children's photos for them as well.  I was a lot of work going through the photos and editing them, but it was fun and worth it!  When I figure out how to add pictures to my blog, I will post them.  I wish it were easier to add them, or easier for me to figure it out.

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of this past week the boys had swim lessons as well.  It has been a little chilly in the mornings and Patrick did not want to get in the water Thursday morning.  I hope this helps them.

Today we went to Casen Sadberry's 6th birthday party.  Isaac and Patrick had a lot of fun.  I took pictures for Angel of Casen's entire party.  I got some great shots.  Now I have to edit them.  I enjoy it!

John received a phone call from Matthew this evening.  He gave the website on Facebook to look at his pictures of his Basic Combat Training.  I found his picture twice already.  Again, when I can figure out how to add pictures, that will be another picture to post.

Ta ta for now.  I'm off to edit some birthday pictures, plus it is 11pm.  Goodnight!

First Blog! June 2, 2012

June 2, 2012.  My first blog!  I have seen other people blog and recently thought it would be a great idea.  I have always been a journal writer and almost feel like I am doing my hand written journal a disservice.  I am so old school.  I will continue to hand write in my journal and especially my journals to Isaac and Patrick.  I have a notebook called, "Letters to Isaac," and one to Patrick, "Letters to Patrick."  My hand journals seem to get fewer and fewer entries.  It really seems so much easier to type than to write.  Especially since I type faster than I write.

Summer begins!  Isaac and Patrick were out of school on May 25, 2012.  Isaac finished kindergarten and Patrick finished the 3 year old preschool class at the Methodist Church Preschool.  I can't believe a whole year has passed by so fast.  It's true, the older you get the quicker it passes.  I enjoy seeing my boys grow and enjoy life, but this just means not only am I getter older, but they will be grown men one day.  You know, that's not so bad because I know they will be wonderful men and succeed in whatever they put their mind to.  BUT until then, I have a 4 year old and a 5 year old in my house.  What fun!  Isaac and Patrick are the best of friends and play together so well.  It is fun watching them play together.  We will have a great summer of 2012 together.

Memorial Day 2012, JV, myself, Isaac and Patrick took a day trip to Natural Bridge.  We went on a little hike with the little boys.  They enjoyed the hike.  John and I have always loved being outside and doing things outside together and when we were little kids.  I have always loved the outdoors as far back as I can remember!  I hope Isaac and Patrick do so as well.  I took some great pictures too.  If I can figure out how to post pictures of our trip in my blog, I will do so.

May 30, 2012, Isaac lost his second tooth!  He pulled his own tooth.  Maybe a dentist in the making?  I never thought of it that way.  I will have to mention that to him. I keep telling him I want him to be a medical doctor, but a dentist would be fine too.  He lost his first tooth at school on May 10, 2012.  The school nurse wiggled it and it came out.  And that night the tooth fairy paid Isaac a visit with a crisp $5.00.  I wonder what she will leave him tonight.  Yes, he lost it three nights ago, but he keeps forgetting to leave it under the pillow.  So tonight his baby tooth is safe and snug under his pillow.
